Sight or vision ignites inspiration. Our natural world is an array of stimulus that offers a variety of colors, textures, shapes, sizes, functions, and new ideas of innovation. The experience of sight is diverse. We know this because advertising is a multi-billion dollar industry. Advertisers are able to take a comprehensive idea and express it in the form of a symbol or logo. At a glance, our minds are able to decode this symbol or logo, to recognize the company, brand, or idea.

The very art of blending colors, textures, and shapes seem to be the staple of our society. Everything manufactured is designed to be aesthetically pleasing. If you don’t believe me, take a trip to Times Square, a museum, or encounter a firework show.

The most important aspect of sight and or vision is its ability to adhere images to memory. The events in your life, last a lifetime! Ponder the wonderfulness in the idea that sight conceives emotions. For example, the immeasurable love a mother feels the first time she sees her newborn. The exhilaration people feel when they observe a natural phenomenon occur, like a sunset, or the Northern Lights. Most importantly, imagine the awe someone experiences when a kind act is witnessed, restoring their faith in humanity.

The privilege of sight is the most essential function of the human experience. The advantage of sight allows us to capture the world around us, interact with it, respond to it, and create memories that last a lifetime!

“Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground” by Theodore Roosevelt, is the expression of pursuing your dreams, goals, and aspirations while walking with the humility that separates the visionary from the egocentric individual.

There should be a balance present when chasing the endeavors that make us happy or that will give us the passionate purpose we yearn for in life. When developing or laying the groundwork to bring endeavors to fruition, the visionary should always consider others. Nothing should be done at someone else’s expense. As a matter of fact, the visionary should seek to understand how their endeavor could better benefit others or humanity collectively. By being grounded in life, the visionary will be able to relate to the very people who will help propel them toward greatness…their aspirations, not their ego.

Demonstrative humility, when authentic, is the most important characteristic of a visionary. It translates into a sincere form of confidence, strength, and compassion. These attributes humanize the visionary. Thus, making him or her, more relatable to people…their most important necessity, a social network.

What are your clear and definable visions? Have you thought about them? What do they look like in detail? What do they inspire you to want to achieve? What steps can you take in achieving them? Take time to write your visions down in detail an create a viable action plan as the visionary to take steps towards achieving your passions and deep-down desires!
