Your mind is like a computer. There are processes and scripts that automatically run in the background. The law of attraction works works in either a positive manner or a negative one. Whatever script your mind is running on, is what you are attracting to you.

These thought processes affect multiple aspects of your life including your financial situations. What are your reactions and responses to money matters? Are they positive and optimistic or negative and pessimistic?

The good news is, with time and committment to yourself, you can change that. You can change and reprogram these scripts running in your mind. This is called Self Talk. Understanding what your Self Talk sounds like and identifying the themes especially related to money matters, is the first step in regaining control of your mind and charting a course in the direction you desire to go in. Let's begin to analyze the situation. In your journal answer the following questions:

1. What does my Self Talk sound like? Spend time during the day quietly listening to your random thoughts and jot them down. Are they negative, positive, productive? What does my negative self talk concern? Money, Success, Relationships? Categorize them.

2. What is my current relationship with money? Does it make me anxious, frustrated? Do I feel of sense of empowerment when it comes to money matters? Or Hopeless.

Scientists state that many of our current belief systems develop and are set between the ages of 3-9! Incidents occuring in the home may have led you to internalize certain ideas and beliefs about money. Going back to childhood in your mind, can you remember incidents concerning money in which you mirror that behavior or statement? Example: "Money doesnt grow on trees you know!" May be a statement a parent stated to you that you now in turn tell your own children. Can you identify any others?

A. In your journal, name and describe the incident the best you can remember.

B. What was the overall theme? "We're broke!" "We can never afford anything nice!"

C. Who did this incident involve? Mother, Father, Aunt, Uncle, etc.

D. Write all the incidents and themes involving this person and any others.

E. What area(s) of your life do you mirror some of this sentiment or behavior?

3. After writing all the incidents, try to gather up all the themes and sentiments and list them. Once you list them you want to transmute and clear each and every single one of them.

4. After transmuting them, you want to replace those sentiments and themes with something more powerful! This is where your affirmations come into play.

My personal example:

My mother worked alot. She used to always say, "You gotta work HARRRRD for money." She worked at a hospital in the upper east side of Manhattan and we lived on Long Island. Even her commute was hard. She used to work a ton of overtime and would often go to work at 5am and not get off shift until midnight, all to do it again the next day. Dad I and I would drive to Manhattan to go pick her up when she worked late and she would be asleep by the time we drove to the end of the block. Growing up, I dont ever remember really wanting for anything. Her working super hard seemed normal, I figured that is what black women did, but not very necessary. Any how, I noticed when I started working, I ended up in similar situations. I began mirroring the behavior with long hard commutes and working especially hard for some money, not even alot of money.

Theme: Money requires hard time and hard labor. You have to work HARRRD for it and it's not even alot. This was my internalization of that situation.

I clear and transmute the idea that I have to put in hard time and hard labor for a bit of money. I clear and transmute this sentiment in every reality and every dimension, through all time and space.

REAFFIRM: I am able to work smarter for large sums of money! I am empowered and my intellect, networks, partnerships, and mindset provide the most beneficial opportunities for me to gain wealth and provide for my family.

I have the freedom and choice to work passionately for money on the things that are in alignment with my Divine Purpose and feel fulfilled when doing them.

RESULTS: I am currently a global contractor for a technology company, with the privilege of working from home and the ability to spend quality time with my children daily. I currently have an unlimited time off policy and am able to work on myself and spend quality time with my Husband and children. We have four ranging from 18 years old to 2 years old. As my mindset changed, I no longer had long commutes and long hours. I also now make literally twice the salary from my previous employer with the freedom to move about as I please.

This works. It costs you nothing, but paying attention and a committement to self. Hopefully, you are doing your Journal daily. We will do another prompt like this next week concerning success.
