Journaling: Articulating Your Thoughts

As a writer, the ability to articulate your thoughts is crucial. It can also be difficult. In addition to writing, journaling may be beneficial to your writing.
Journaling keeps your writing consistent. Part of completing your manuscript, means being self discipline enough to work on it often. Journaling can assist you in creating the habit of writing. If you work diligently towards this, your day doesn't feel right when you forget to journal.
Journaling is a great way to benchmark your progress. Your thoughts, ideas, daily activities, recorded in your journal are a great way to celebrate just how far you have come. Also, ideas don't get lost and you have the ability to recall this information for new content. If anything, it's therapeutic.
Benchmarking your progress can be a great way to assist others. You have your experience down in writing. Others may benefit from hearing (or in this case, reading) about your challenges and how you overcame them. You may have great tips and hacks that can help someone else achieve their endeavors.
Lastly, it's a great legacy to leave your children and/or loved ones. Your thoughts, creativity, ideas, struggles, challenges, solutions, and resolutions can all be recorded and passed down for generations. You never know, centuries from now, it may be worth a fortune!
The goal is to create a writing habit. Practicing articulating your thoughts, is extremely beneficial to your writing. Be consistent with this method. Eventually, it will translate to your other works. Remember,
Re-view
Re-read
Re-vision
Re-write
Repeat, until your manuscript is complete!
